Monday 30th October - In school De La Warr Art Session!

Robins were very lucky this morning to learn some new and exciting ways to create art, using a robot constructed by the children themselves!

We are working hard on forming our letters correctly.  Below is a link to help with this:

Kent and East Sussex Railway Trip!

Our class trip was fantastic! We all walked along our famous Welly Walk to Bodiam Station.  Along the way the children had to spot geographical features that we had learnt about in class, and we even found some sedimentary rocks!  We then boarded our Steam Train to Tenterden where we learnt about Colonel Stephens and got to watch the trains in action!  On the way home we got to experience a Diesel Train back to Bodiam to meet our parents.  What a brilliant day it was!

Super HOMEWORK has come in already, so we have put some pieces on display outside our classroom!

Our class has had a super start to the term where they have all been working hard, but also enjoying afternoon playtimes helping the new reception children on the playground!

Over our first 3 days back we have been ...

  • Setting our own class rules
  • Creating a profile on ourselves
  • Sharing our summer holiday stories
  • Taking part in a class vote for school council
  • Exploring our new topic
  • Writing a short story
  • Playing number games
  • Taking part in PE games
star.jpgEvery week 2 children from each class will get chosen for star of the week!
Who will it be?

On Thursday 14th September we have a 'Meet the Teacher' opportunity after school in Robins' classroom for all the parents.
